EAST MEATH

• Gormanstown, one of the best sites in Meath for birdwatching, plenty of seabirds, gulls, scoter, terns, short and long ear owls,waders and all the regular countryside birds in fields above the dunes. 

• Laytown Beach - Red Throated diver (telescope needed)

• Mornington/Boyne Estuary – large numbers of winter migrants: bar tailed and black tailed godwits, golden plover, lapwing, curlew. Redshank and shell duck all the year round.
