  • Nobber: Famous yearly Murmuration every winter. Recorded breeding Great Spotted Woodpecker in 2018

  • Loughcrew: for Spring, summer birds like: Whitethroat, Sedge Warbler, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Wheatear, redpolls,  Stonechat.

  • Ross and Lough Sheelin: Winter visitors, Tufted Ducks, Golden Eyes, Great Northern Divers, Pochards. In Spring a good place to hear the cuckoo but also the Great Spotted Woodpecker.
