The following events, although not organised by our branch, are very much projects we fully support and are collaborating on. So mark your calendars for the following events.


Pre-draft Public Consultation: Meath Biodiversity Action Plan 2025 - 2030

Meath County Council is seeking your assistance with the preparation of a Biodiversity Action Plan. This online information session will provide an opportunity for Meath County Council's Biodiversity Officer to present an overview of Meath's biodiversity & habitats to participants, as well as the pressures impacting on Meath's biodiversity.

Register for Birdwatch Irelands Fair Seas climate webinar 

Online launch of the Fair Seas report 'A Climate Resilient Path for Ireland's Marine Protected Area Network.' BirdWatch Ireland is a proud partner and founding member of the Fair Seas coalition. This report highlights key Irish marine areas that can promote biodiversity in the face of worsening climate breakdown.


In our online webinar, Rosalind Skillen, BWI Marine Policy and Advocacy Officer, will speak to the report's lead author, Dr. Ana Queiroìs, who led a team of data scientists from Plymouth Marine Laboratory to identify what areas of Ireland’s ocean are most resilient to impacts of climate change.

Take Me to the River

Solstice Art Centre are leading a creative environmental based project with an exciting array of speakers, artists, and activists taking part - SEE ATTACHMENT. To hear more about this immersive community project, there will be a Launch & Information Evening. A number of events and outings will be taking place over the next few weeks and months as part of this project, with Birdwatch Ireland Meath being represented by Terry Cassidy at an event in June. The Boyne Ramparts: Ecology, Sound, & Written Word

Your guides on this late evening walk are Eimear Clowry Delaney (Wild About Navan), actor/writer Grace Collender, Terence Cassidy (Birdwatch Ireland Meath), and design practice Cineál. Surrounded by the dusk chorus, explore ecology along the Ramparts, Navan through sound, written, and spoken word.
